I have just finished watching a show on the OWN network where the discussion was around Happiness.
What is the meaning and how to apply happiness into your life. The author in this discussion has written a book called the Happiness Project and the points that I took away from listen to her is
1. To be happy you firstly have to spend time defining what it means for YOU
2. To put into play a few plans or steps that keep you focused daily on becoming and maintaining a state of happiness.
3. That we will as humans have a scale of being in a state of happiness ie. 1-10 and that it is normal to flow between maybe the middle and upper ranges on this scale.
Also as always I took away the concept of KISS - keep it simple silly
I have found that many of us do not like change regardless of whether the changes are important for our health or to create new beginnings, we have a comfortability with what we know, so adding in a new routine means that for it too be successful we need it to be simple and easily applied.
For myself being happy means many things that all wrap around quiet simple pleasures and having a positive mindset to go with that and to have the inner realisation that this is a happy place for myself.
In the hustle of our busy lives and the thought process that happiness is either wrapped around things, money or only available on vacation or in event of circumstances that we have created in our minds, it is of no wonder that for many of us that live in the most abundant and safe nations in our world that we are not happy!
Take the time to find out what makes you happy and apply it to your life. As our ancestors would say smell the roses while you are living and get rid of that thought process of " when I have the time, money ect"
Our time is NOW because that is a commodity we can never get back.
I am happily now signing off. Have a happy day one and all.
