You are not alone.
I cannot talk about any other culture but this one,
we are taught to embrace the highs of life and to be on a constant hunt to keep having those highs.
The problem with that is it isn't achievable and it is not reality
Having highs and lows and periods of what I call the straight line is normal
we most of us and learning to move into acceptance of that normalcy is what we should be hoping to achieve.
I think society is creating a state of constant drama ie. the reality TV we are constantly being shown and the unreality of celebrity lifestyles; we are being told that a normal life is boring Ect and that we need to mimic what we are being shown in the media.
I read an article some time ago that said today's youth wanted to be famous when they grew up and they expected that to happen immediately via Mass media
what type of message have we been sending?
Really we need to learn a state of acceptance.
Acceptance that our lives have cycles and that we need to be as comfortable with our lows as with our highs and the periods of just being and living.
I often ask myself why I whine when I have a nothing day
why I think that my life only has value if I can say that I was busy
Why I need to justify my existence.
I need to learn once again that it is just fine drifting as it is when I am focused and achieving
Really the only difference is how I have taught (or been taught) myself that one is a good thing and the other bad or a waste of time Ect.
I am here and by just being present I am living my life and I am choosing in this moment to let go of all judgement on how that should look like!
"I am the flow"
